MGTT West Texas Stops & Carlsbad Caverns

Ride out to hit the western stops on the Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas.  We will also visit Carlsbad Caverns on day 2.

Day 1 (Sun 3/15) - 482 miles: Ride to stops 28 (Garza County Historical Museum in Post, TX), 45 (Hotel Texan/Main Street Pizza in Seagraves, TX), then head over to Carlsbad, NM to stay the night.  Hotel - Hampton Inn & Suites Carlsbad, 120 Esperanza Cir, Carlsbad, NM 88220.

Day 2 (Mon 3/16) - 196 miles: Visit Carlsbad Caverns and then head to stop 3 (Old Glory Memorial, El Paso, TX).  Hotel - Hampton Inn & Suites El Paso/East, 12055 Gateway Blvd W, El Paso, TX 79936.  IMPORTANT NOTE - To visit Carlsbad Caverns, you will need to purchase a General Admission Ticket and a Timed Entry Reservation ahead of time.

Day 3 (Tue 3/17) - 460 miles: Ride to stops Alt 3 (Van Horn Mural, Van Horn, TX), Alt 2 (Prada Store, Valentine, TX), and 17 (Mayor of Lajitas, Lajitas, TX), then head to Fort Stockton to stay the night.  Hotel - Hampton Inn Fort Stockton, 2271 W I-10, Fort Stockton, TX 79735.

Day 4 (Wed 3/18) - 460 miles: Ride to stops 9 (Alley Oop Land and Iraan Museum, Iraan, TX) and 38 (Bush Family Home State Historic Site, Midland, TX), then head back home.

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.

Impairment Policy: The consumption and use of alcohol is a serious personal responsibility involving the safety of family, riding friends and the individual HOG member. Alcohol consumption before or during a motorcycling activity is not safe, responsible behavior. D/FW Texas USA Chapter #5264 does not allow the use of alcohol or drugs before or during a riding event* and does not furnish alcohol at Chapter rides. Riders whose skills are observed or suspected to be impaired by alcohol or drugs before riding cannot join the ride. Riders using alcohol or drugs while riding will be asked to leave the ride. It is the responsibility of each Template Chapter member to support the consistent enforcement of this policy

By entering the H.O.G.® event area, you irrevocably grant permission to the Harley-Davidson Motor Company® and its agents to photograph, film, record and/or videotape you and use (and authorize the use of) your name, image, likeness, voice, and/or biographical or other information in any and all media now known or hereinafter developed in perpetuity for any and all purposes.
