Chapter History Page

ABCs of Touring

The ABCs of Touring is designed to get you out on your bike and cover some ground. It is a National HOG program in which you accumulate points and earn specially designed ABCs of Touring awards.

The current schedule is available on the ABCs of Touring page. Join John on these rides and see a lot of Texas while earning ABC's of Touring points.

Pride Patch Program

The Pride Patch program awards a "Pride Patch" to DFW H.O.G. members for their participation in Chapter activities. The patch displays a bald eagle wearing a leather jacket with the word "PRIDE" across his chest.

Reminders

	Membership Meetings: The Ladies of Harley and Harley Owners Group meetings are held at Texas Harley-Davidson on the first Saturday of every month. 9:00 am: Harley Owners Group meeting immediately followed by the Ladies of Harley (LOH) meeting. A ride generally will follow.
	Chapter Chatter Newsletter: The Chapter newsletter "Chapter Chatter" is published every other month and is sent to current members only. Submissions for the newsletter may be sent to Texas Harley-Davidson at any time or by email to the Editor. If you would like to receive your newsletter via e-mail, send a request to the Chapter Secretary. Please include your name, member number and email address. The newsletters are delivered in Adobe PDF format.
	Ride Guide: The Ride Guide contains information that each member is expected to know and observe so that everyone can participate in safe and enjoyable group rides with the Chapter. It can be downloaded from the Safety page.
	Chapter Membership Card: Don't forget to bring your DFW HOG Chapter membership card when attending all chapter functions (no Substitutions). You will be required to show it before each ride. Contact the Chapter Secretary with questions about your membership or to get a card.
	HOG Mileage Program: Don't forget to enroll in the HOG Mileage Program and get pins, patches and medallions for the miles you ride. See your HOG Membership Manual for the rules. Enrollment forms are available at Texas Harley-Davidson (Take your bike cause they are required to verify the VIN and the mileage).

Suggest a Ride

If you have a suggestion for a ride, submit it by email to the Activities Officer. Be sure to include the name and location of the destination, your name and any comments you may have.

Please keep in mind that the rides are scheduled several months in advance and the destinations are reviewed for suitability before being scheduled. Suitability requires that a destination have the ability to handle a large group and provide safe, adequate motorcycle parking. Other factors such as distance, road conditions, weather, time-of-day, day-of-week, and difficulty of ride are also considered.
