Road
Block....why?
Oklahoma was celebrating their Centennial this
year. As part of the celebration some very dedicated
individuals organized a cattle drive from the Texas
border on the Red River to the Kansas border, taking
(as close as practical) the old Chisholm Trail. At
this point they were only about 50 yards from the
old trail as they traveled up US 81about 15 miles
south of their final destination. They had started
out around the first of September.
